Decofondant

Our Decofondant offers the confectioner the ideal icing for novelty cakes, birthday cakes, Christmas cakes and gateaux.  Special occasions such as wedding and christening cakes can be decorated in modern styles and techniques.  It is an easy to roll out sugar paste developed as an alternative to Royal icing and gives the confectioner greater scope, using cutters and tools easily available - the only limit is imagination.  Our Decofondant  can be used straight from the box, it sets firm yet cuts clean without cracking and has a smooth texture and flavour.

  Preparation  
  • To obtain full pliability of product, knead/mix slightly before use.
  • Always dust with icing sugar.
  • Use Royal Icing, neutral jelly or Alcohol to obtain adhesion to marzipan.

  • Coating and decoration of Celebration cakes.
  • Quick finish gateaux.
  • Advance preparation of cake decorations.
  • Ideal for flower making.
  • Perfect for frill work and Broderie Anglaise.
  • Ideal for embossing, crimping, moulding and stamping.

Ready Mix for sponge cakes (Genoise) and Swiss roll.

Our Belgian made ready mix is simply excellent. Its is ready to use, only eggs and water are needed to make a fluffy and tasty cake bread.

Preparation for Sponge Cake:

  1. Mix from 1 to 2 minutes at low speed.
  2. Whip for 10-12 minutes
  3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 C.

 

Preparation for Swiss Roll:

  1. Mix from 1 to 2 minutes at low speed.
  2. Whip for 10-12 minutes
  3. Bake for 4 to 5 minutes at 220 to 250 C.
